Hayden Wells - Gym Instructor - Class Instructor

Hayden has come a long way in a short period of time. He started as an apprentice and now is a strong member of the fitness team. Hayden is based at Marl Pits but often shows his face at the Adrenaline Centre (Haslingden Sports Centre) to work with customers and to teach classes.

Hayden comes from a sporting background having a love for Rugby. He plays for Rossendale Rugby Club and has been brought up with a successful mind set when it comes to reaching goals.

If you’re interested in toning up, losing weight or building muscle, Hayden keeps up with current trends in the industry and delivers great programmes for getting results.

Phil Holden - Fitness Manager - Personal Trainer - Class Instructor

Phil has a passion for healthy living and is enthusiastic about fitness for life not just for sport. His fitness ethos is about movement rather than exercise and he loves helping people achieve there everyday goals, whether it’s running 5km or losing a stone in weight, this is Phil’s area of interest.

He started in the industry around 2006 at Blackburn College and he has been learning about health and fitness ever since and still continues to learn everyday.

Phil’s hobbies include Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Boxing, which have taken a back seat recently due to the arrival of a baby boy in 2014 and another baby arriving late 2015.

Paul Markey - Gym Instructor - Personal Trainer - Class Instructor

Paul came to Rossendale Leisure Trust from Xercise4Less. He came with plenty of Personal Training experience, professionalism and depth of knowledge for our customers. Paul is based at Marl Pits Leisure Centre where he has PT clients and looks after members whilst they’re training.

“I have always had a passion for health and fitness so I decided to take it to the next step and turn my hobby into my career. My goal is to motivate and encourage others towards a more healthy and active lifestyle through fitness. I can help with cardiovascular exercise, muscle toning, muscle building, nutrition and much more. I offer a free consultation so don’t be afraid to contact me”

Tom English - Gym Instructor - Personal Trainer - Class Instructor

Tom has been with the Trust since 2010 where he has been working as a Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer. He has been based at both The Adrenaline Centre and Marl Pits but he now resides in the Gym at Marl Pits. He does double up as a Duty Manager at times but you will mainly find him in the gym dishing out fitness programmes.

He started his fitness career as a part time casual and developed his skills whilst working for the trust. He is now a knowledge source of information when it comes to you fitness needs.

Outside the gym Tom has been working hard on his squash game and has moved up the squash ladder quite quick. If you’re interested in getting started go and see Tom.
